What is an Agenda?

The agenda is used an official working guide from which the Council conducts it's meetings. The agenda, which is prepared by staff, includes current legislative and policy issues which must be reviewed by the City Council.

Archived Agendas

The archives only shows agendas up to March 12, 2007. If you need access to more current agendas, please check the meetings calendar.

Sections of an Agenda

Consent Agenda: This portion of the agenda consist of those items which require only routine review by the Council. Only one motion is needed for the approval of all items listed on the Consent agenda.

Proclaimations & Presentations: Special presentations or announcements at the beginning of the meeting.

Public Hearings: This portion of the agenda allows public input prior to City Council action.

Old Business: Items continued from previous meetings.

New Business: Items to be reviewed and dicussed by the City Council.

Ordinances for Adoption: Ordinances which have been introduced by the Council at a previous meeting. Public comment is invited at this time.

Citizen Comments: An opportunity for citizens to bring up issues or concerns not listed on the agenda. No formal Council action will be taken.

What are Minutes?

The "Minutes" are the official results and record of what happend at a City Council meeting.
